Sustainability policy

Valle del Pacífico is committed to sustainability by developing practices that reduce negative environmental, sociocultural, and economic impacts that may arise from the development of its activities.

It directs its efforts and responsibility towards the conservation and protection of natural resources, with actions aimed at saving and efficiently using water and energy resources, proper solid waste management, and the promotion and preservation of the cultural heritage of Valle del Cauca.

Pacific Valley promotes social inclusion through the hiring of people and services from the region and is also committed to preventing the sexual and labor exploitation of minors.

Energy Management

Changing Lamp Bulbs

Valle del Pacífico is changing its lighting to 85-watt bulbs throughout the venue. This measure significantly impacts the consumption of kilowatts.

Independent Air Conditioners

The new installation of direct expansion air conditioners in the Press Rooms and Committee Rooms allows for an independent cooling system for these areas and generates significant energy savings.

Team Commitment

The entire Pacific Valley team is committed to saving energy by turning off electronic devices or reporting lights or equipment left on when leaving the venue at the end of the workday or on weekends.

Water Management

Faucet Regulation

All bathrooms at Valle del Pacífico are equipped with sensor systems and water-saving systems to better care for water resources.

Wastewater Treatment Plant

We have a wastewater treatment plant (PTAR) to improve collective health, prevent diseases, conserve the environment, and use water for various purposes.

Waste Management

Management Plan

Valle del Pacífico has developed its solid waste management plan as a fundamental part of its commitment to the environment and the care of the planet.

Flora and Fauna Management

Natural Landscape Conservation

We maintain and care for the green areas and plant species of the center, using agrochemicals with low environmental impact on the soil and atmosphere.

Flora Inventory

As part of the flora inventory, we have achieved the taxonomic classification of the plant species that are part of Valle del Pacífico landscape design.

Pollution Management

Acoustic Panels

We installed acoustic panels to control noise levels in the various rooms.

Compliance with the Anti-Smoking Law

In compliance with the Anti-Smoking Law, we have identified and marked the areas designated by legislation as tobacco-free.

Procurement Policies

The products or chemicals used for the maintenance and/or operation of electronic, electrical, cleaning equipment, and the conservation of the green areas of Valle del Pacífico are free of pollutants.

Irrigation System Renewal

At the Valle del Pacífico Events Center, we have renewed our irrigation system, saving up to 5 million glasses of water each month.
